Overview

Aussie Skips Recycling Pty Ltd proposes to upgrade a Waste Storage facility ​at 13 Bellfrog St, Greenacre, NSW 2190 to Resource Recovery facility. The ​proposal is State Significant and an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) ​and is currently being prepared for submission to the Department of ​Planning. The EIS will be exhibited for a minimum of 28 days, at which time ​the community are invited to make submissions.


About Aussie Skips Recycling Pty Ltd

Aussie Skips Recycling Pty Ltd serves as a ​waste handling and transfer facility. ​Aussie Recycling is an Australian, family-​owned, waste management company, ​which is part of a larger parent company, ​Aussie Industries. Aussie Industries’ ​activities include the operation of a ​collection infrastructure business (Aussie ​Skips) and two resource recovery ​facilities - one in Strathfield South, NSW ​and the Site at Greenacre, NSW.

13 Bellfrog St, Greenacre, ​NSW 2190

The Site is located in an industrial ​area zoned as E4: General Industrial, ​and is bounded on all sides by ​industrial sites, including ​warehouses (to the west and east), a ​24-hour concrete batching plant (to ​the north), and factory units to the ​south.


Proposed Development Summary

  1. Establishment of the Site as a Resource Recovery Facility.
  2. Annual Throughput Increase to 200,000 tonnes.
  3. Expanded Storage Capacity to 14,000 tonnes.
  4. Mixed waste receipt , processing and storage in the external yard area.
  5. Concrete, ASS/PASS processing and storage in the internal warehouse.
  6. Installation of mixed waste processing and segregating plant.
  7. Installation of concrete processing plant
  8. Acid sulphate soil peocessing
  9. Changes in operational hours.
